Break Through?

All morning the sun tried to break through the fog but it didn't quite manage to do it.  I ventured out for a walk mid-morning and the gentle breeze was icy cold but out of the wind the temperature was just over freezing.  The trees were silhouetted against the grey backdrop of the fog and loomed in the distance as I approached.  The rest of the morning I spent chatting with Mum.  Then it was over to Dad's for lunch.  This evening I returned to Hampshire, it was foggy all the way and only 2 degrees outside when I got home.  It was wonderful to see everyone this weekend and a lovely end to my Christmas holiday.
