New Year, New Life?
Phew what a busy Saturday!
Visited my friend's gorgeous newborn near Prestbury (and both girls are doing great I was happy to see.) Squidge watching Angus cuddle her from the comfort of the staircase pictured. She's a proper wee cutie and made us both (momentarily) very broody!!!
Then it was back to Wilmslow to look inside the house we did a drive by on t'other day. We liked it. Lots we would want to do to it and surprisingly it is modern rather than old (I do love old houses) but there's something very exciting about it's potential.
The area is great too as are the schools, transport links to Manchester and lots of new restaurants etc. popping up there in the next 6 months: And there's been a real change in our thinking about the move to the next stage in our lives of late. We feel ready. Bring on the Cheshire suburbs!
So much so that we got home, I consulted my Mum and Dad (obviously) and then put an offer in. It was quickly accepted but as our house isn't on the market, it was merely accepted provisionally (no champagne corks popping yet - in fact we have a long way to go!) In the estate agent's words until we sell our house, our offer is simply an "expression of interest".
Didn't stop us getting the floor plans out over a tea at Yo Sushi at The Trafford Centre tonight though and starting to mentally knock down walls and redecorate!
We're going to have a busy week getting our house on the market, sorting mortgages in principle and doing sums. Scary but exciting too!
Not letting ourselves get emotionally involved yet as the voices of reason (my parents) have warned us we have a long way to go yet.....and someone who has sold their house could buy it and snap it from our grasp any minute! Nail-biting stuff isn't it?
