Permission to land!

Very very wet this morning - almost like being in the Lake District again on New Year's Day - so this was taken through the kitchen window.  The two very handsome male bull finches (Shouldn't the females be cow finches?)  feeding very politely on the sunflower seeds when all of a sudden the peace and tranquility is disturbed by the high speed arrival on the flight path to the peanuts of the great tit!

The finches were so surprised they didn't have time to move!
