The Bridestones
On a beautiful afternoon eldest son Stephen and I were joined by our black Labrador Jet for a walk around the Bridestones.
Despite the strong cold wind there were a few people enjoying the landscape made of distinctive pedestals of sandstone, ancient woodland and moorland.
Many visits have been made over the years with boys scrambling over, under and through the many rocks and crevasses. I think Stephen was a little put out that his shoulders would no longer fit through a favourite slit in one of the rocks.
However he could not resist the panoramic view from one of the first rocks we came to.
