Kickin' off the New Year

The wee man kicked off the New Year by showing off his new kicks.  Given his triple citizenship (UK, US and Australian), he really should have a pair of Union Jacks and a Southern Crosses.

Thankfully he's been in a better mode today than the past couple of days.  He's not been particularly naughty or irritable.  He just seems keen to test our boundaries.

Perhaps we should call these shoes his Independence kicks...

We indulged in our favourite restaurant for brunch today, Prep Kitchen. We normally visit the one in La Jolla but we opted to try Del Mar today. I'm pleased we did because after finishing we saw Gray Whales off the coast. It was quite incredible.
