Making our own traditions

Since New Year's Day 2010 it's been a tradition for me and Roland to hop on the train to travel just under an hour to Cromer to catch the fantastic free Firework Display over Cromer Pier which happens at 5pm.  We usually get there early afternoon so we can have a bracing stroll by the sea before having sausage, or fish, and chips eaten outside and then a pint or two.

I've worked out the perfect (for me) vantage point from which to take photos and we get to that spot for about 4pm as the crowds (and we're talking a few thousand people) start to build.  Time passes quickly as there are lots of people to chat to.

This is my favourite of today's bunch - exactly as it came out of the camera - and you can see the others here.

I'm back at work tomorrow.  It's been a lovely break, with lots of time just to be.
