Peaceful

.... is how our New Year's Eve is going to be. And how I hope our New Year is going to be! 

We have had a nice, leisurely day. We lazed in bed, eating breakfast and watching LoveFilm until 11. We played and pottered, painted and crafted. We went to the post office and the supermarket before we came home to do more of the same, though for variety we located ourselves on the sofa. Katie played in her room with her friends for a while, downstairs with her pretend dog for a while. We both enjoyed slobby clothes, snuggly jumpers and new slippers whilst we relaxed. 

2014 has felt a busy year. Katie spent 8months of it as a preschooler before her transformation in September to "school girl". She has done her first modelling, we have had two trips to London. We have been away to Center Parcs, Wales, Gloucester, Scarborough, Whitby. We have had days out in York, Bridlington, Filey, Halifax, Clitheroe, Leeds and more. We have seen ballet, theatre, musicals and films. She has danced in a Northern Ballet workshop, two ballet school shows, twice for the television and placed in her first ballet competition. She has done 3 ballet exams, 2 fun runs, 4 swimming levels and a gymnastics badge. She has learnt to read, ride her bike, write and sew. We said goodbye to her much loved little rabbit, BabyGrey and had her first ambulance call out. She has met "Elvis", Olaf, Elsa and the town mascot. We have been blessed with two new godsiblings and amazing times with some of the older ones. She has had her best Christmas ever. We have laughed so hard we cried. Repeatedly. We have tuddled more times than I can count. So, 2014 -thank you. Thank you for memories, experiences, life lessons and love.
