why?

How do you explain NYE to a pair of 6yo's?  Opted for the birthday of a calendar & thats why we celebrate reason.  That will do until asked again next year - or most likely again tomorrow.  

Began the day with a trip to the mall for some essentials...in the loosest of terms. Stopped for a milkshake - that became an exhaustive lesson in apologies. Interesting outcome to say the least for one 6yo.

10th birthday cake for lunch (the poor lad, he has a few more years until he realises how great NYE is going to be for birthdays - there is always a party)

I had several fun pics for todays blip - but i opted for this, on the Broadbeach here on the Gold Coast awaiting the early fireworks, catching the last of the suns 2014 rays as they bounced off the clouds... & just before both 6yo vomited (again, this is lost for several years at how uncouthly cool that really is - Q: who now has the owl?)
