Californian cold snap

We had another midwife visit today.  Fortunately everything is looking good, and it doesn't appear as though Pixel (codename) is ready to make an appearance just yet, despite Nikki's gigantic belly.

Poor Nikki keeps having strangers come up to her in the street and commenting on how she looks like she's about to blow.  They're friendly enough but it's not something we really experienced the first time around in Scotland.  I guess Californians are a little more open and direct than their Scottish counterparts.

People also find it strange that we haven't discovered the sex of the baby.  I wonder if that's another US/UK thing, or that we're genuinely in the minority these days...?
