Chez Nous

His Lordship and I tend to live in our own little isolated bubble, and apart from visiting children, are very lazy in entertaining people at the Dower House.

This morning however, we made a big effort and had our neighbours in for coffee.
His Lordship came out from behind his Door and while I did a Mary Berry on scones, the Archangel Michael kindly donated the shortbread and mince pies. The cake, you ask? Well it was a mature one from my birthday celebrations and came to full glory this morning.

It was a cheerful enough gathering, tucking into diabetes inducing fare while regaling each other with age related ailments and bemoaning the general decline in behaviour and morals of the present society.
One could say that it's being so cheery that keeps us going!

Resilience though is the name of the game and His Lordship is hoping to achieve that by squirrelling the remainder of the goodies into his room for afternoon consumption behind the Door.
Diet? What diet?
