Morning Shadows

The fence at the end of our driveway this morning, with its shadows.  Only at this time of year--I had not really noticed them before.

Today was historic for my town of Northampton, Massachusetts. For the first time in many decades, a passenger train stopped at our station (less than ten minutes walk from us).  The Amtrak Vermonter has been rerouted to pass through Northampton, on its way from Washington to St.  Albans in northern Vermont. It will give us the possibility of travelling easily directly by train to New York and Washington (it's only daily, and not fast, but it may sometimes make sense). http://www.amtrak.com/vermonter-train
