Winter Sunshine

A change from the black and white of the last few days, although there is no immediate sign of the snow disappearing - a cold, crisp day with blue skies. I went from a walk to a nearby area of common, where there are feeders which always attract a good variety of birds, and is one of the places locally where you have a good chance of seeing Yellowhammer; there were at least 4. Today it was understandably very busy - Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Robins, Blackbirds, Dunnocks, Nuthatches, and a Jay and a Sparrowhawk also put in an appearance.
I was supposed to be meeting some friends for supper tonight, but as our cars are still snowed in and the temperatures are forecast to drop well below freezing again tonight, we decided to reschedule.
