Deer Hunt
A slightly later start to our morning walk it being the holidays still and we also had a break with tradition as we had 3 men accompanying the ladies and dogs today.
The walk was traditional though and it is the one where we normally see deer. We weren't disappointed seeing at least a dozen in amongst the trees. They stop and stare at you but just far enough away and sufficiently intermingled with the trees to make photographing them very difficult. I decided just to enjoy seeing them.
Usually a very muddy walk the frost this morning made the fields and paths reasonable and we were followed through the trees by a great sunrise.
Here we are taking the lane to Ravenroyd on our way back, with the sun just above the horizon.
A fabulous start to the day in good company including on this occasion Chris and Grace and John.
