The Birthday Girl

Today a few of us celebrated Mel's birthday with a picnic lunch on the beach, the sun shone, the food was delicious and the company best of all. I have known Mel since I moved to Ireland nearly twenty years ago now, our children have grown up together and they are still great friends! We too have shared a lot of history together, through both the joys and the challenges of our respective lives. She is a great friend, wonderfully wise, fantastic fun, a great listener and giver of good reflection, incredibly creative and very beautiful, Happy Birthday Mel, hope you like my attempt at your portrait.
