The Memorial Chapel, University of Glasgow

We attended a wedding ceremony here this afternoon.  A very special event, and beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. Even the angels on the choir stalls had tinsel around their heads.  The couple signed the University Register after the ceremony.  

The Chapel was consecrated in October 1929, and is dedicated to the memory of former staff and students of the University who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars.  Architect - John James Burnet.

Special memories here for me too, I often attended the early morning service before heading up the stairs to the 9 am Moral Philosophy Class.
