Accountability.

Our golf club secretary, Dee, is away on holiday. She is the person who organises our t times and does the 'draw', however, over the years she has 'molly coddled' our golfers, for the past 3 weeks Carole and I have been doing the draw, and we have done a 'proper' draw. Not everyone likes it but tough, they have two choices 'take it or leave it'. The other thing that has happened over the years is if you are going on holiday or you cannot play for whatever reason, you give Dee a piece of paper with the dates on when you are not playing, this is shambolic. So I have made a list of all members, with the dates for the month of June when we play, and we are going to MAKE people accountable, so it is upto them to put a 'tick' or a 'X' when they can or cannot play. I can forsee problems, and I'm sure Dee won't like it, but we need to make changes. Watch this space!!
