Chocolate fruit Christmas cake

Better late than never, as they say - the chocolate New Year Christmas cake is ready! 'Chocolated' and decorated this afternoon, with Lucy's help.

Woke to a freezing cold house - the boiler has packed up again! Aaaargh! Message left for our nice repair man in the hope that he'll be able to come out  - again - early next week! Thank goodness for the woodburner.

Heavy snow in Yorkshire last night, and it was forecast here for today, but they got wrong. After an icy start to the day the temperature rose - and we returned from our afternoon walk around the fields in the rain...
