Summer Fun......

.....on Boxing Day at the popular North Canterbury beach Gore Bay.

I've blipped it so many times before in all kinds of moods but today it felt just like summer should be. People were swimming and surfing, sandcastles were being made, lots of wandering along the beach while others were picnicking under shady trees. The sea was gorgeous with its shades of turquoise and blue, the sun beat down and its was warm, warm, warm.

The surprise of the day was finding the yellow pohutukawa in full bloom with just a few buds left to open. It look stunning against the vibrant blue sky.

There were just four of us from our family enjoying this day, Hubby, myself, Daughter A and boyfriend M, unfortunately E had to work.

I've no idea how this collage looks with the preview not in action as yet and not particularly good at creating them, so we'll see how this one goes - Summer Fun, such a great feeling! :)
