Boxing Day

A day late for my usual Christmas traditional walk at Aberlady Bay. Someone told me there had been a long eared owl around but I must have missed it by an hour. Seemingly it attracted quite a crowd.
There were plenty of fieldfares chirping about the buckthorn- these little birds come from Iceland and Russia to winter here. Isn't nature wonderful?
