In loving memory

A lovely Finnish Christmas tradition. Lighting candles for loved ones no longer with us. A sea of candles and lanterns at each cemetery. This one is in Kaleva, Tampere. 

I lit a candle and took a quiet moment in memory of my Grandad, who passed away only a month ago. Somewhat bittersweet, (if that's the correct word to use in this context), as he lost his long battle with cancer. Glad he is finally at peace, but he is sorely missed by all that knew him. Such a pleasure to be around. Happy go lucky fella. He brought much happiness.
