My little lights

Another "not technically great" but "Extremely precious" photo. This is my babies on Christmas Eve, all together for the first time at Christmas, at the Crib service of the church all three of my godbabies have been christened at and where I have been since I was small. We had a wonderful time before the service at Nannans. We let the children each have two of their presents together and they had a lovely afternoon tea together. They played happily, including a four baby pile up/rough and tumble on the floor that made them all laugh a huge amount. It was a really special time, we have both so loved being able to spend time with them at Christmas. We drove up to Church, taking Nannan with us. There was a lovely moment watching Katie and Nannan walking hand in hand to church. We had taken halos for the girls, a star for the baby and a teatowel for Max, but we got there and found full costumes available. The children joined in everything - they danced the children's dance, they sang the carols, they did their respective parts in the nativity (the bigger three anyway!) Wonderful wonderful wonderful. 

After Church came one of the highlights of Christmas for Katie - we went back to Grandad and Granny's where their annual festive gathering had just begun. Cousins, aunties, grandparents "my family together". We had a really beautiful 3 course meal. Racing santas, "draw a picture on a plate on your head" game, chocolates, reindeer food being thrown outside, the Night before Christmas story, Christmas as we do it. Then when Katie had gone to sleep, kazoo carols and songs. 

Katie had a brilliant day.
