Christmas Essentials

I'm feeling much better today and managed to deal with most of the Christmas essentials, such as going into our garden to collect: sprouts for dinner; pine cones for the fire; the holly and the ivy (for they are both full grown).   I also managed to visit a sick friend and bring a little cheer.  Between the hail storms there are some dramatically beautiful skies. Our house is a weird one, small on the bottom, big at the top, so we spend most of our time at first floor level, nearer the sky.  And it feels good.
