Moments

I started this journal nearly a year ago - with a picture taken from nearly this same spot - commenting that everyday has at least one special moment if we're awake to the possibilities.
Today walking pooch in the smattering of rain that was soon to become torrential I caught a glimpse of movement through the trees and this deer trotted into view. They're a fairly common sight in the Lake District now - but where I live in the area betwixt the Lakes and the Dales it's still rare to see them in open land. I waited a while but never saw the others that I know must have been in the vicinity, but hopefully they'll stay around for a while & we'll get some more moments together.
