Portrait test run
So, my most photographed assistant is back again. Patient as ever, especially since I've done a deal*.
I was trying out two new toys. One is a lovely new light modifier, which, at a push, can be handheld. Especially today when I'm rushed and also admittedly lazy. So after ten minutes of figuring out how to put it together and five minutes of shooting with modifier on one hand (moving it around to get different lighting ), K3 in the other, clicking away. I came away impressed.
It delivers a really nice soft light, which will be perfect for a shoot I have booked for next week.
The other toy was a new iPad app. Photogene 4. Not sure about it yet, but it does do local adjustments fairly nicely. A combination of Snapseed and this could work well for quick sketches, and comfortable blipping. Will give it some more time.
* The deal. For every complaint free 5 minutes posing for me, to get me up to speed for next week, she gets 5 extra minutes added into her weekly allowance of Stampylonghead viewing.
He's somehow beloved of children all over the world due to his enthusiasm for minecraft. He also has the most annoying voice in the world.
I knew that squeaky git would come in handy somehow. =)
