The cake auction

It's the last day of term today and the HS always have a cake auction which I personally feel has had it's day. All money raised goes to the charities that the students work with for their CAS projects but I'm sure there is a less glutinous event we could hold. I'm going to put my thinking cap on and try and come up with a different event to propose for next year. The cakes were fab though and there are some very talented students/teachers.
We all finished at lunch time and headed to the Christmas lunch which is put on for us. We were all a bit tired as one of the assistant heads hosted a party at his house last night which was fun. There was a Christmas novelty jumper competition and myself and hubby are still in shock that we didn't  win it. 
We are so looking forward to our break although it seems we're going to busy as so many friends are staying in Brussels this year!
