Winter Solstice

I love the winter solstice - the thought that we are now looking forward to the summer, well, that's how I see it anyway. On the day which offers the least sunlight, I am really appreciative to be in a sunny place and have a beautiful day of sunshine. Mark and I sat on the terrace at my in-laws and soaked up the rays for a few minutes today - they had a little Christmas gathering at their house today, and it was so lovely to wish friends a merry Christmas.
