Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

(Groan!!)  Sorry about this shot of a favourite decoration, which has been re-appearing at Christmas for at least 20 years now.  I did take a Winter Solstice picture, but when I looked at it, it was so dull and boring that I opted out:-)  There was very little light to love today and the rain has set in for the night now.

Had a lovely unplanned visit from best friend and her husband, who stayed to lunch.  She has been (and still is) very ill, but she has good days and bad days and this was a good day for her.  It was wonderful to see her getting out and about again, even if it's only for a day or two each week between chemo sessions.  It quite made my Christmas:-)
