Today's the day ........................... for a room with a view

I'm going to miss this - the view from my seat at Roma's kitchen table looking out over the garden.

It was from here that I saw the woodpecker come and feed on the peanuts, followed the pair of robins as they flew in and out of the garage window to their nest inside and watched Roma try to persuade the magpies not to build a nest in her tree. The sun has shone, the rain has lashed and the wind has buffeted - there's always something to watch from here.

Today though, it was time for us to go home to Kendal. For more than a week, it has been so lovely to rest up and be looked after in this lovely place. Thanks Roma - hope to see you again soon ..............................
