Ballet party

Every year we have the "Katie in her new ballet costume" shot on ballet Christmas party day. This year, she'd been asking me for an Anna costume. I found an Anna tutu and it seemed the absolutely perfect answer for this year. She was incredibly pleased when I showed her the surprise yesterday. She got dressed this morning and suddenly looked a whole lot more grown up. 

We headed to ballet and the class went through their exam work as they only have three rehearsals before the exam sessions at the end of January. They then came into the main studio and partied! She had a fabulous time doing the usual hilarious party dances. She had some lunch with her wee friend and wanted to stay for the next class' party. Which the teacher approved of as I was holding her baby at the moment of discussion. So she did that class' party too. Complete with the single loudest, most enthusiastic renditions of For the First Time in Forever and Let It Go that I have heard! Another wonderful party. We had got our coats on to go when the next class started their warm ups. To party music. That was it, she wouldnt leave. We were at ballet until 330! She had a glorious time.

We stopped at Asda to do some last minute Christmas bits before coming home. She nodded off in the car for a brief power nap then woke again. But as soon as we came in, all she wanted was jammies, milk and stories in bed. We read the story of the Nutcracker and watched a wee YouTube video of dance of the sugar plum fairy as we are going to watch the Nutvracker tomorrow! She has had a cracking day!
