El Maestro at Work
In the last couple of days Stephen and I have actually got down to shooting some footage for the video of "Runaway", the title track of our album - as well as the title of my new book. The song is all about the story of our running off to London as teenagers in search of fame and fortune. And the book is a fictionalised account of the same.
Actually, I haven't been doing much more than standing or sitting in front of the camera trying to lip sync - which is hard when you can't hold the lyrics in your head for ten seconds! (Old age!) Stephen has been planning the shots and shooting them - except when he's also in them, and then the good wives have stepped behind the camera.
The real hard work, and talent, comes in the editing, which is Stephen's province. We have several more shooting days over Christmas (hoping for a continuation of the good weather). Then El Maestro will lock himself away for days to produce the final video.
This is he lining up a shot at an abandoned chiringuito, where we had pinned a green screen over the door to prep it for the addition of later effects.
