Happy birthday dad

4 years since you passed away. How can time pass so quickly. If I stopped to think about it, I would realise how precious the time I have left is and make better use of it I'm sure. 

As funerals go, Mags' was a fine one. She would have approved and she would have been proud of her daughters and her grandchildren and the part they played on the day. A special mention for Diana who read the poem and didn't crack and Matthew and Jack who read the eulogy.

As well as a funeral , I had to deal with an airline that chose to change their flight schedule 24 hours before Luke was due to fly home from China. I was still on the phone to them at the wake (I hate that term, but I don't know what else to call it) but eventually got it resolved in time for him to receive his updated air and coach tickets. Unfortunately, he loses a day due to a later flight time and a much longer stop over in Shanghai. Grr. Just received a message from him to say he has left for the airport. Only another 36 hours and he should be calling for a lift from Luton airport - not wafted here from paradise though.
