inspired by a leylandii hedge

I love the way the artist, Barbara Robertson, has captured the patterns of the wall, the hedge and the tabby cat. The supercilious look on his face amuses me. I think you would need permission before posting a letter in the box.

We have owned this picture for over twenty years but I have only just noticed that it is called 'Horrible Hedge'. I would like to bet it was a leylandii hedge that had been allowed to grow to a ridiculous height, cutting out the light from her garden.

There are eleven tree stumps round the perimeter of our garden. Were they leylandii? We are so pleased that someone else took the decision to remove them.
