Woodland garden

We walked through Goit Stock this morning with some sun for a change. Haven't done this walk for a while as it is quite muddy.

At the end of the woods by Hallas Bridge, this woodland garden has been created. It is in the grounds of what used to be a mill. If you look carefully the mill chimney can still be seen in the background but the mill itself is now apartments.

In my childhood it was a very noisy and dusty 'shoddy' mill and I used to run past as I found it quite frightening. There was also a legend of a witch who lived in a cave under the bridge so I found the whole place pretty terrifying as I lived just to the other side of this valley created by Harden beck.

I think they have made a good job of this space.

I am posting early as I am about to be cut off as Chris wants to move the BT wires before the carpet is fitted. Who knows when I will be reconnected! Sorry if I miss some commenting.
