Today's been fabulous! We were up insanely early, because Katie went to bed insanely early last night. So by 7am, we had cooked together, cleaned and gardened together, laundered and pegged the washing together and got her washed and dressed. She was a very good helper today!

We then met Victoria with the children and have had the most wonderful day. We parked out at the pasture near to town, walked into town for babyccinos and coffees, before heading back to the pasture ready to watch the town's 10k race, in which several friends were running. Katie was a little perturbed when Mummy scaled a lamppost to get good shots.

After theyd gone past we walked right up to the other end of the pasture, through huge puddles, lots of cows, beautiful buttercups, Katie asleep in the carrier. We walked through to the bluebell forest, and walked right to the very end of it, farther than I've been before, and it was stunning. Absolutely stunning. I woke her up and she very quickly was exploring and playing. We walked out the other end of the bluebell forest, back down the other side of the pasture. We watched big kids playing on a homemade gokart, we watched bigger kids racing boytoy remote control cars.

Katie told me a story that she made up for the first time. "There were 5 bears, with 5 fingers, and they did walk and where were the bears going?" and it went on and on for quite a long time.

When we got to the end of the pasture, we had a late picnic lunch, ended up with an ice cream, before we came to our house to play for a while, c ompleted with chocolate gateau. A happy happy day.
