Open Studio

The painting at the top by Sian Frances is one of the best paintings of
London I've seen in a very long while.

I saw it as a sketch and knew it had huge potential, having a controlled looseness to it which is no mean feat to accomplish.

Well done Sian.

This shot was taken at her open studio in Hackney this evening which we followed with a Vietnamese on the Kingsland High Road.

A long day for me having started at the crack of dawn photographing a granny in Wapping teaching 5 kids how to cook.
