Fines and good times

The end of a four day week, and it'd seemed a long one. Up early as picking Catherine up at 7.30. She's bringing me a 'friendship cake'. This is an edible chain letter! Basically, it's a raw dough which you nurture for 9 days and split up on day 10. You keep some and bake, and then share the other raw dough with friends. exciting to see what the results will be. It was bubbling away in the office!

Lots done today, a good Friday. Home and an interesting item of post awaits me! A bloody fine for spending 5 seconds in a bus lane! Ah well, you do the crime, you pay the £60 fine!! (£30 if I pay early!)

Out with trace and the girls tonight. Love my nights out with them, always fun. It was Patti's birthday and she was also celebrating being given the all clear after having cancer, so a double celebration.

If I had a local pub, Greasley Castle would be it. It's near all good things, the bus stop, the chippy, and home. Good night there, dodgy singer on doing a shocking Louis Armstrong impression! Late in, tea, cheese on toast, bed....
