Spring Comes From The Store

I really like asparagus even if it comes from the grocery store in a plastic produce bag, which is what always happens because we don't have space in the garden to grow it. I like the flavour, I like the way it feels when I pick it up and break the stems and I like the way it looks. Up close like this though it seems a bit reptilian...an exotic vegetable dragon maybe.
