solar oven

the alps were a lot clearer this morning, as we went on a trip into the countryside.

we got lunch in Cordova via Baldissero.
had a quick wander around Sciolze, before a drive to just outside San Raphaele, where S's niece J is in the process of setting up a commune on a 6 acre site with part of a farm house (called Malerbe meaning bad herb), where this blip was taken.

a quick drive into the Asti region then a brief aperitif in Revigliasco, before getting back to Cavoretto for dinner wine and chat.

Italy has been nice for hearing lots of music that i've not heard since living in Canada... i'm guessing they had a similar rock based pop chart in the 80's.
Also while leaving J's commune one of her guests was playing this (albeit more tunefully) on an acoustic guitar - i don't listen to Tom Waits much any more either... i really should do!
