cherish what remains

rubicon

Last night was the opening reception for my solo exhibition, Rubicon at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale, Arkansas. Many friends from First Thursday at the Fayetteville Underground made the trek to Springdale to see the show and I felt very happy and grateful they would take the time to do that.

Today Megan and Stewart and I drove up to the gallery after lunch. I was concerned about a few things that hadn't been taken care of the night before and when we got there eagle eye Chapman spotted a few more things that needed to be made right so we sorted that all out. Stewart took some great photos of the show that I can use on my website. Most importantly for me, their words of praise and encouragement for my work made me feel calm and sure of myself after months of anxiety over how it would all turn out. I am truly grateful for their friendship.
