To anyone thinking of baby led weaning...

Get a dog! This image doesn't really do justice to quite how messy and far flung the food actually was. She drops what she is finished with (or just because her co-ordination isn't brilliant yet), the food lands on the foot plate on the high chair and is then booted halfway across the dining room! She resembles a duck in some respects when eating, as her upper body is still and you can hear her feet kicking with excitement! I really love watching her eat though, everything is still new to her and she tucks into everything with gusto. So far, the only thing she doesn't seem to like is banana.

Well, the Jumperoo hasn't lived up to expectations in the sleep department. After a fairly sleepless night last night we went along to baby massage. We haven't been for a few weeks , so it was nice to catch up with everyone. Then home for lunch. Another baby led weaning tip; wash your little one's hands before you duck down to pick up remnants from the floor! I made the mistake of bobbing down too soon today and had little (dairylea) covered hands running through my hair! I must have looked lovely trundling around Sainsbury's afterwards. It was ok though, as we got caught in a downpour on the way back to the car with the shopping. The raincover for Megan was in her dad's car today, so I had to take my coat off and drape it over her to stop her from getting wet, but at least it cleaned the dairylea out of my hair. Good day, but I'm tired now.
