Hadrian's Wall Country
Today was our regular Wednesday walk. The festival was wonderful, but it was rather nice just to be out walking with no extra responsibilities. We walked from Haltwhistle by a lovely route up to Hadrian's Wall. Lunch was at Cawfields Quarry and then we wended our way along the Trail before turning south and back to town.
This view shows the sort of countryside we often walk through. The land on the horizon shows the course of Hadrian's Wall. When you are up there, you have great views to the wild land further north.
Lovely.
