All the Colours of Portree!
The lovely MK, on the second day of our world tour of Skye!
Got up early and hit the road for a tour of Skye, done a bit of walking to the fairy pools, well kinda, (bloody big fat bearded barman) it's a long story, but turns out the fairy pools aren't at the end of a 9 mile hike! Wanted to do one of the Cullins but weren't quite well well equipped enough, even I was made to see sense that the Young Nul approach may not be the advisable in Skye's 46 seasons in one hour weather!
Had a bit of lunch and headed off round the island to do some sightseeing and ended up in Portree! It was freezing the night before so we bought an awesome tartan sheep lined rug, well cosy, and a new tartan scarf to alternate between the one the Rod Stewart gave me! Kicked about Portree for a bit and watched the second of half of the FA Cup final, gutted Liverpool lost, especially when there was an annoying woman sitting near us supporting Chelsea!
The choice for dinner was MK's tonight and curry was the order of the day! Walked in to Portree's finest curry house and seen it was full of a bus load of Indian Tourists, always a good sign you would think (as Han will remember after that night in the banana leaf, it's a beautiful language Patrick)! Waited ages for dinner which was fine as it was busy until Pa Ding, no not the waiter, what appeared to be a microwave curry, priceless.....as was the minging drunk guy who's partner said yummy yummy out loud to everything on the menu and then walked out after 2 hours without even a popadom passing their lips! (went off on one there I think, really no need for the useless story at the end!!!)
Anyway, lots of shots today, but decided to go for the classic Portree shot (check out BigRed1977's on 7th Feb 2012) with the Maggie in holiday pose! Out of all the colours Red has go to be my favourite, awwwww! X
