Bank Holi3d
Bank holiday ergo it rained. Ergo we go sit in the cinema instead of the planned wander around the Forth - Clyde canal up by the Falkirk Wheel.
A bit strange being in the multiplex on a weekday, but it meant we could walk in and have our pick of seats after the advertised start time and only have to endure 15 minutes of adverts and bag rustling.
Well worth the ticket price it was too (although £6 odd for a packet of Doritos and some processed cheese flavoured plastic and a cup full of ice pushed it a bit). Not having seen all of the build up movies that led to Avengers Assemble didn't seem to matter too much as it didn't have a huge bearing on the storyline - goodies v baddies and CGI version of Manhattan destroyed in massive battle sequence. The 3D wasn't played for the sake of it too much and there were some good bits of humour in there to give you a break in between the relentless action. All a bit too much for the poor toddler up the back of the cinema who cried for a good five minutes before their parent relented and took them out of the cinema. Obviously the 12A rating passed them by.
Pizza and home for a bit of catch up with some of the earlier Marvel movies now.
PS: If you do go and see the movie, make sure you stick around 'til the end of the credits for some extras.
