The Working Bee

It was Liam's school's working bee and at the last moment I decided to go in place of Brent, who is the person who usually attends. Liam doesn't physically leave me much and although I'm always trying to break free (!) I decided to opt for the morning 'off' at the school.
I was assigned the job of making these boxes which will double up as a bench and storage. The kids will use them to sit on when they are waiting to be picked up from school. I have to say that it was really rewarding and I thoroughly enjoyed the job (I was given assistance I must say).
I was concerned about usung the power tools and imagined getting some horrible injury. However, nothing untoward happened until I got home and tripped on the doorstop and......broke my toe!!!!
