Flicking Your Switch - Ladytron

One of the things they have absolutely spot on in the new college from my point of view is the way the computer labs are set up for the lecturers. You just walk into the classroom and dock your laptop. Of course if you have a mac laptop it's a bit more fiddly as you have to disconnect the monitor lead, the ethernet cable and the headphone jack from the dock station. The HP laptops however just get sat on the docking station and you're hooked up.

Once you have done this there is the series of switches shown to control the projector input and the audio equiptment and you're sorted.

Ladytron are a band I 'm gutted that I didn't see. A couple of tears back Roz wanted to see Franz Ferdinand at T on the Fringe. I read that Ladytron were supporting so I was really excited when I got tickets. What they hadn't said was that they were only supporting them for the first night and it was arcade Fire th esecond night. don't get me wrong I enjoyed Arcade Fire (probably more than I enjoyed Franz Ferdinand if I'm honest) but I'm still really gutted I didn't see Ladytron. I love Electronic music and they are clearly heavily influenced by Kraftwerk and early ninties dance. I suppose the music press would probably call it ElectroClash, but to me it's just good electronic music.
