THE BIG DAY

As I mention on tomorrows blip this was a massive day for me personally. When I arrived at Jewson this area you see here was boarded off and filled with a lot of rubbish. Now? Now it's a fully functioning kitchen, bathroom, joinery and sustainability showroom. Today it had it's first official function from 12 through until 10pm as we hosted our Sustainability event. The branch hosted suppliers and customers alike and put on several talks based around the theme of sustainability and energy saving.

I headed up the project. It was completed on time. I got a fair few slaps on the back for good work. My ego was a fan of this action.

There's some interesting stuff coming up, not least The Green Deal. If you get a chance have a look at what it could mean for you. It's hopefully being rubber stamped in October and could mean 14 million homes receiving up to £10,000 of energy saving improvements without any initial outlay.

In other news I'm off to Wicken Fen shortly with the other half to meet scotchlass and the kids for a mooch. Should be good.
