Woodpeckers' workshop

Linda and I took a walk today around a pond in a woodlot conservation area near us. It was as gorgeous spring day. We saw frogs, tadpoles, some small fish, grasshoppers, lots of varieties of butterflies, and a woodpecker. It is likely one of the birds making these holes in this dead tree trunk at the edge of the large pond. There must be some tasty bugs in there.
