Bike ride to the bus stop, bus to the park, park to ballet.... very exciting when you're 2 years old. Ballet class. Hugely exciting. Comments again from the teacher at how much she has come on. Biggest of smiles from Katie the whole class. Displays of freaky flexibility during the conditioning exercises. Extreme enthusiasm during the tap class. A success.

High speed walk to the bus stop, excitement about the bus. For 2 minutes until she fell asleep. Not over amused at waking up to be put on the bike, but waves from Aunty Becky, Uncle Mark and Bobbobs cheered her up. And then swimming totally hyped the excitement level back up. Massive splashes and jumps and kicks today. A nice (and large, by Katie) lunch in the cafe afterwards.

All this excitement was probably largley because of her underlying excitement of the afternoon's events. Today we went to see "The HIT Little Big Show" live. We saw Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine (Thomas Tranga as Katie calls him), Pingu, Angelina Ballerina and BARNEY!!!!! Katie was beside herself with excitement. It exploded out of her in frantic twirls, wiggles and claps during the first song. She wouldnt move during the interval, having not yet seen Angelina and Barney. Her face when Barney did "Hey Mister Knickerbocker" will stay with me forever. She did the most fantastic dancing to the whole thing, then snuggled up to me for "I love you", which is our bedtime song. I may have shed a tear.

One more busride - Katie has discovered the upstairs and the front seat with the giant windows in front of her. A quick bikeride home, straight into jammies. She fell asleep on the floor as I changed her bed. A day with some really really special memories.
