Rubber Chicken with a Fever

I only took 2 pictures today. Fortunately, Bob provided me with this fantastic photo opportunity.

The rubber chicken is one of my favorite gifts from a client. Her dog Scooby came to me critically ill with meningitis. I have rarely seen an animal so painful. Thankfully he responded very well to treatment & he survived with no neurologic deficits.

While he was hospitalized, his owner brought his favorite rubber chicken to remind him of home. When he was discharged, I tried to give the chicken back. But she asked me to keep it so that I would always remember Scooby's amazing recovery.
