Which Side Are You On?

I always find it shocking that such a huge number of people don't vote. I thoroughly understand feeling disillusioned, angry, frustrated towards politicians and politics.. but to not vote? How can we ever hope to force a change if we don't engage in the democratic voting system which has been so hard-fought for? And if you're that pissed off at least go and spoil your ballot as an act of protest rather than simply not turning up.

Like many, I feel so incredibly angry at pretty much every area of British politics at the moment. Where is the strong, viable alternative? Where is the representation of the real people? Until political parties consist of members reflective of society (gender, class, race etc etc), our lives will continue to be governed by rich idiots who have NO idea of the very real impact of their cuts, policies and decisions.
